Dear Bailey,
ReplyDeleteI think your web site is wonderful and very creative. Congratulations! I am wondering if you'd be willing to enrich and extend it by adding visual images (photographs) and possibly also yu-tube videos, to make some of your capsule summaries of the books you've been reading become more "alive" for your readers?
Excellent blog, your Cousin Steve
Dear Bailey,
ReplyDeleteOne of the books I've read recently is called HARVEST OF THE SUMMER MOON. It is the story of a young girl named Rachel Parker who, at the age of 9 or 10, was captured by Comanche warriors (who burned her homestead and killed members of her family who had illegally built a home in Comanche territory), and was subsequently raised by the Comanche. In the book, we enter her world, learn how she grew up to marry a Comanche warrior, and become the mother of two children, one of whom QUANAH PARKER became the last great chief of the Comanche before they were forced onto a reservation. Great book!
